I'm still full of gunk, feverish and unable to breathe. Therefore, I drew zombies in love.

The Cloudy Dreamer
I'm only semi alive right now due to cold germs and bad synus jokes. But having a sick day can prove useful.
I've wanted to finish this since I drew it in a nervous fit the night before uni began in late Spetember. Inspired completely by Olivia Lufkin and her 'The Cloudy Dreamer' album.

Relief
Drew this in celebration of finishing my super secret summer project 2 days before the deadline last weekend.
I love Damon aka the tempermental-reforming-bad-guy. But he's having a tough time lately.

It's too hot!
It's mid-June in the UK and unbearably hot for us pasty skinned, wind-ridden people. Which naturally means I end up laying in bed reading, just to keep cool.
Some old self-initiated work based around imagery Maggie Stiefvater created in her book 'Shiver'.

I don't know what to say
Second year is over. I don't know what to do with myself. I've got books and films and dissertations and summer projects and drawing to do, but I still feel a bit lost in space. I need routine.
Elena and Damon from The Vampire Diaries. There's unlikely any more original stuff to come for a bit since I'll be buried in fiction for the next few months till I surface in September.
I'm liking the new style so far. Let's see how long that lasts...

I think I'm becoming nocturnal
Don't become an animator. It's seriously bad for your health. Since I've started working flat out to meet my FMP deadline, I now look like someone has punched my eyes repeatedly. Seriously not nice. That and my day starts at 11am and ends sometime around 5am.
Though I'm not a fan of The Vampire Diaries (though I'm sure that'll change once summer comes) I liked this scene in episode 19 where Elena and Damon dance.

Because you saved my life once
Oh dear. It's been a while since I updated. I really don't want to get into that bad habit already.
Currently working on my 2nd Year Animation FMP about a woman running to the top of a building to save a man from jumping. Hopefully it'll look ok, as I'm rotoscoping for the first time. Seems ok so far. It's taken me a couple of days to get the first few shots out, but I should get faster now.

Thank you baby brother :)
Though I'm currently being distracted by Wakey!Wakey!'s 'Light outside' video, so that may also slow me down. Thanks a lot Maggie Stiefvater!Saturday, 20 March 2010
Perfect sting relief
Crit went well I think. Teachers liked the textures and said my animation had improved, but the story made no sense, which I completely agree with. So that's another thing I need to redo over Easter. As if the pile wasn't already a mountain.
Burnt two of my fingers on a frying pan this evening. Not a great start to the holidays, but Paul Mercurio flashing his moves in Strictly Ballroom took some of the sting away.
Just a bit of fanart - Richard and Kahlan from 'Legend of the Seeker' in biro

Slightly worried
I'm wondering how badly this crit is going to go on Wednesday, since I've finished a whole two days before the deadline. Which is a first.
Here is some of the art for my Lip Sync animation. Plotwise, my character has no head, and he goes into a shop to try some on.
